MoA: Mountain Bird

Oh hey look, mountains! I've been telling myself repeatedly to draw more scenery, particularly of my story's world, Hyacinth. And finally, I have!

Tamoora Blackwing is an Azugen aimu who was born in the hidden city of Teka-Toka, in the southwest region of Shevaluu; however she and her parents left the city when she was still a baby, and they travelled to the mainland province Demias for reasons Tamoora never learned. Tamoora has no idea what her homeland is like, except for a little wooden aimu doll that she keeps close to her. When she and her fellow companions decide to travel to Shevaluu to seek out the Earth and Fire Shrines, Tamoora grows excited to search for the city where she was born.

Another thing about Tamoora is that unlike her people who are born with Wind magic (which allows them the ability to transform and fly), she was born with Earth magic (since she is the Earth vessel). Thus she cannot fly, but she is quite strong, both physically and mentally. Sometimes though she longs to one day be off the ground and soar as well (ironically, the Wind vessel weighs himself down with armour and laws, hindering himself from potential; these two need to have a good, long, understanding chat lol).

The hardest part of this picture was trying to get Tamoora and the scenery to actually look like they belonged together. Might go back and touch up some things but for now I'm pretty satisfied. I've gotten a lot more comfortable with painting.
